Why Chrysalis exists
The strongest institutions rely most heavily on their most committed leaders. Collective Impact by Design helps institutions do that work well. Chrysalis Coaching Circles supports the leaders doing it, at the point where they're asking what's next.
Senior leadership in higher education takes a toll that's rarely discussed out loud. The decisions don't stop, and the longer you stay in the role, the harder it gets to ask, “Is this still right for me?”
Chrysalis Coaching Circles gives senior higher ed leaders, including those who have recently stepped away, a confidential small group to work through that question. Over six months, you build a plan for your next step and refine it with coaching and feedback from peers who have carried the same weight. Your plan might mean recommitting to your institution, moving to a new role, stepping toward retirement, or building something outside higher ed. The circle supports whichever you choose.
How it Works
The first cohort meets monthly online starting in January through June 2027. The cost is $1,250 with a $250 deposit to hold your spot. Participants will develop a transition plan and receive 1:1 coaching along with peer support. Have questions first? Email us at chrysaliscoachingcircles@gmail.com

Chrysalis is a program of Collective Impact by Design. Its two co-founders have decades of experience in higher education, including Cabinet-level roles. They know firsthand how visible, pressure-filled, and isolating the job can be and why time and space for discerning how your values and priorities align with your current role is important to creating your future. We also know that you want to plan your transition whatever it may entail.
